Blindeleiasta jatkettiin Lillesandiin, joka on erittäin hieno pikkukaupunki.
Saku is so right! This little town of Lillesand, about 20 nautical miles from the very much bigger Kristiansand, truly is lovely! Kristiansand is a modern town, nice, of course, but we wouldn't really call it charming. Lillesand, on the other hand, is loaded with cute, white houses, some older than the others, but what they share in common are the extremely well-kempt gardens full of roses and other beautiful flowers - and not a weed in sight! Other thing that these well-tanned Norwegian vikings and their ladies seem to adore are their little motor boats that whizz by everywhere. You'd really better watch out for them, since in a lot of boats it might easily be just two or three young kids dashing around the waters. Don't they have any age limits here in Norway, we wonder...
Alas, we lost a couple of our crew this morning. No, they didn't decide to jump out of the boat in despair (or maybe they did, who can tell?!), they only had to leave us to continue their way back home. Tomorrow, however, we will have Tuomo on board, which is great! Saku is so looking forward to sharing some of the frozen beer with him, haha. Frozen beer? I hear you asking yourselves baffled. Oh, and we also have frozen champagne, imagine that! The simple explanation of course being that by accident, surely, someone had turned the freezer where we keep the drinks on, so today Saku had to melt his beer first in order to be able to enjoy it at all. This sailing business is so very exciting; every day is full of new surprises, moments of deep despair but also - and luckily maybe for the most part, too - moments of true admiration for the nature, scenery ... everything that surrounds us!
Tomorrow we will be heading for Arendal to pick up Tuomo ... and new adventures no doubt. Can't wait!!:)
