Byxelkrokista lähdettiin eilen aamulla aurinkoisessa kelissä tavoitteena Kristianopel n. 75 mailin päässä. Aamupalan jälkeen nostettiin purjeet ja alettiin luovia, olihan tuuli tietenkin nenästä. Parin tunnin ilon jälkeen todettiin, että pitää meidän perillekin tänään päästä. Kalmarin jälkeen olikin sitten kohtuullinen aallokko suoraan nenästä, joten luovimme koneella isopurjeen avustamana. No löytyi se Kristianopelikin ja oli oikein miellyttävä ja suojaisa paikka. Saatiin myös ensikosketus Tanskaan tässä Kristian IV perustamassa suunnitellussa "suurkaupungissa". Nyt on tavoitteena Tanska, koska tiistai-iltana ja keskiviikkona on tulossa kovempaa vastatuulta.
Voyage from Byxelkrok to Kristianopel was wind on the nose as usual. A couple of hours tacking and after that we started the Volvo to proceed. South of Kalmar the seas were a bit higher so we started tacking under enrgine with the help of the main sail. Kristianopel is a nice town with a protected harbour and also with a bit of Danish influence being established by King Christian IV. Today we target Denmark the avoid the forthcomuing heavier headwinds.
Know the feeling we have had very strong winds since being in Scotland. Weather has been pretty wet but seems to be improving as we drive south. Currently in Inverness _ the start of the Caledonian canal. Loch Ness looked pretty calm with a reaching wind down the Loch. No sign of the Monster though. Was a bit dissappointed.
